Software for your process documentation

Since the shift in 2000, international standards such as ISO 9001 have taken an increasingly process oriented approach to the design of quality management. Our documentation tool „dls | process documentation“ takes into account this fact and helps to document, structure and visualize the processes in your company simply and uniformly. Connect your respective business processes with each other and link the processes with already existing documents from the ECM d.velop documents (formerly d.3ecm) and Digital Life Sciences QMS. At the same time, a process manual can be automatically generated in several formats based on the stored process data.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs) about Process Documentation

Processes are created in a relational database as an object, which is defined via properties (e.g. process name, category…). The properties required for process control are preconfigured, you can add further property definitions to them. Selection lists can be assigned to the definitions as default values.

One or more documents can be assigned in the process properties under a property with the file type ‘document reference’ as a further applicable document (controlled document) or attachment.

The system administration of the application is structured in such a way that you can configure additional languages dynamically. You could, for example, start with only one configured process language and store and document all elements of the processes. You could then create another process language and translate the elements already available in German into English. The process documentation software supports the languages German and English when delivered.

The goal of this application is the management and documentation of business processes. The result of this documentation work is a company-specific process manual in PDF format. This process manual is automatically created (generated) on the basis of the data collected for the processes.

The Process Map button allows you to view the process map. The process map shows the processes in your company as an interactive graphic. You can thus explore the processes visually. Within the process map, the main processes of the individual process categories are displayed on the overview page. You can “navigate into” these main processes with a double-click to display the associated sub-processes.

The application contains a central menu item ‘Process Working Aids’. You configure which documents from the DMS are displayed here. Direct access to work and process instructions is thus possible without changing the application.
