Who are we?

General view of the company building of Digital Life Sciences

Digital Life Sciences GmbH

Since 2007, we as Digital Life Sciences GmbH are the partner of d.velop AG for GxP-compliant documentation solutions. Thilo Gukelberger and Dieter Schulten manage the company with the long-time expertise of former employees of d.velop AG. Thus, we are also significant co-inventors of our basic product d.velop documents (formerly d.3ecm), which is now used by more than 12,500 customers worldwide as a central ECM/DMS/archive system. Our solutions see themselves as a complementary supplement to d.velop documents (formerly d.3ecm) They primarily address document-based processes of manufacturing/production and the quality management. In addition to our customers of the classical Life Sciences industry (pharmaceutical, medical technology, food supplements, cosmetics), also customers from the steel industry and the service sector trust our solutions.

d.velop AG

With more than 1,000 employees in the d.velop group, d.velop AG, founded in 1992 by Christoph Pliete and Thilo Gukelberger, develops and markets software that optimizes document-based business and decision-making processes in companies. More than 3.1 million users trust the efficient document management and archiving.

When people work together, mistakes and occasional frictions are inevitable. Respectful interaction is the basis for factual communication and for coping with challenging situations or even conflicts. “Always treat others as you would like to be treated by them.” This principle is our leitmotiv when dealing with colleagues, suppliers and customers.

Perseverance and continuity

“Slow and steady wins the race,” as the saying goes. Perseverance is one of our most important success factors. Many of our market companions and their IT solutions come and go. However, our customers attach great importance to long-term business relationships. Perseverance, a virtue that has become rare in our fast-moving society, leads to success. Our company history proves this.

We live in a performance-oriented world. Every employee contributes to the success of our company through his or her performance. Performance must be worthwhile. We have therefore developed an employee participation model through which every employee shares in the company’s profits.

Responsibility and sincerity

We live the responsibility towards our customers. Since 2009, we have been supplying customers from the GxP environment with IT solutions requiring validation. We are proud not to have lost any of these customers to date. Furthermore we always want to be honest, authentic and reliable. Because sincerity is an expression of strength of character and proves to be attractive.

What are our values?

IT is not an end in itself

Our two company founders have more than 30 years of experience in the development, distribution and implementation of software solutions. These years have shaped us. Technology comes and goes. People remain people.

We do not run after every short-lived IT trend. We live up to our responsibility to offer our customers long-term, mature products at an appropriate total cost of ownership.
